Agnes Kilgour was born in Kinnoul, Perthshire, Scotland on 13 November 1797 and christened at the old parish Church of Kinnoul, Bridgend on 20 November 1797, the eldest child of Alexander Kilgour and Catherine Stewart.

 

Agnes married Alexander Barrie of Moneydie, Perthshire (christened 19 May 1798 at Moneydie, the eldest son of Charles Barrie and Barbara Stratton) on 18 April 1820 in Scone Parish Church, Perthshire.

 

Agnes and Alexander, a mason, were the parents of:

 

·                    George Barrie born 28 December 1821 in Scone, Perthshire;

 

·                    Cecilia Barrie born 11 May 1824 in Scone married William Duncan at Mains-Strathmartine, Angus on 26 December 1845;

 

·                    Janet Barrie born 29 August 1826 in Scone and christened 10 September 1826 in Scone Church married George Boyd on 8 May 1849 at Inchture, Perthshire;

 

·                    Catherine Stewart Barrie born 11 January 1828 in Scone and christened in Scone Church on 2 February 1829 married John Findlay on 16 November 1849 in Dundee, Angus. Catherine and John were the parents of:

 

·                    Agnes Findlay born 7 November 1850 in Dundee Angus married William Rixon on 22 September 1868 in Bega, New South Wales, Australia.

 

John Findlay died in Dundee, Angus prior to the 1851 Census.

 

Catherine Stewart Findlay nee Barrie married John Malcolm on 11 June 1852 in Dundee, Angus. Catherine and John were the parents of:

 

·                    Janet Malcolm born 14 March 1853 in Dundee, Angus married Alex Stevenson;

·                    Penelope Catherine Stewart Malcolm born 1861 in Eden, New South Wales, Australia married William AH Surplice in 1885 in Bega, New South Wales; and

·                    John Knox Malcolm born 1865 in Eden, New South Wales.

 

Catherine Stewart Findlay Malcolm nee Barrie died on 8 January 1895 in Bega, New South Wales.

 

John Malcolm died on 16 May 1908 in Bega, New South Wales.

 

·                    Amelia Strachan Barrie born 6 January 1832 in Scone married James Morrison on 11 November 1854 in Dundee, Angus. Amelia and James were the parents of:

 

·                    Agnes Morrison born 9 May 1857 in Dundee, Angus;

·                    James Morrison born 13 April 1858 in Dundee, Angus;

·                    Jessie Barrie Morrison born 9 August 1859 in Dundee, Angus was buried on 17 October 1859 in Dundee Cemetery, aged 9 weeks;

·                    John Boyd Morrison born 13 October 1860 in Dundee, Angus;

·                    Jessie Barrie Morrison born 14 December 1862 in Dundee, Angus;

·                    Renwick Graham Morrison born 15 January 1865 in Dundee, Angus;

·                    David Lyon Morrison born 1 May 1868 in Dundee, Angus;

·                    Alexander Barrie Morrison born 31 May 1870 in Dundee, Angus; and

·                    Robina Morrison born about 1874 in Dundee, Angus.

 

James Morrison died in Dundee, Angus prior to the 1881 Census.

 

·                    Alexander Barrie born 26 September 1834 in Scone;

 

·                    John Barrie born about 1838 in Mains-Strathmartine, Angus; and

 

·                    James Barrie born in 1840 in Mains-Strathmartine, Angus.

 

Alexander Barrie died in Dundee, Angus prior to the 1851 Census.

 

Agnes Barrie nee Kilgour died in Dundee, Angus in 1878.
