Catherine Lydia Kilgour
Catherine Lydia Kilgour was born on 3 January 1857 at Garden Cottage, North Shields, Northumberland, England and christened at Christ Church, Tynemouth on 10 May 1857, the eighth child of George Kilgour and Mary Chapman.
Catherine married Philip Gibson Cook in 1875 in Tynemouth.
Catherine and
Philip, an agent for the Prudential Assurance Company, were the
parents of:

Walter Cook born about 1876 in
Darlington, Co. Durham; and
·
Minnie Cook born about 1881 in Wallsend,
Northumberland.
Philip Gibson Cook died in Wallsend in 1886 aged 34 years.
Catherine Lydia Cook nee Kilgour married Edward Taylor (born about 1860 in Wallsend) in 1888 in Tynemouth.
Catherine and Edward, a ship’s painter, were the parents of:

George Edward Taylor born in 1890 in
Wallsend; and
·
Robert Taylor born in 1894 in Wallsend.
Catherine and Edward, their two sons and Catherine’s daughter Minnie Cook were living in Whitley, Northumberland at the time of the 1901 Census. Nothing more is known about them.
