James Kilgour & Janet Taylor

James Kilgour was born on 4 June 1854 at Garden Cottage, North Shields, Northumberland, England and christened 27 August 1854 at Christ Church, Tynemouth, the seventh child of George Kilgour and Mary Chapman.

James married Janet Taylor (born 29 January 1857 in Preston, Northumberland) in Apr-Jun 1877 in Tynemouth.

James, an engine fitter, and Janet were the parents of:

· Ethel Kilgour born 12 September 1877 in Preston and christened 7 July 1878 at Christ Church, Tynemouth;

· Lilian Kilgour born 4 May 1879in Tynemouth and christened 10 September 1879 at Christ Church, Tynemouth;

· James Wentworth Kilgour born Jul-Sep 1882 in Tynemouth;

· George Ernest Kilgour born Apr-Jun 1884 in Tynemouth;

· Charles Underdown Kilgour born Jul-Sep 1886 in Tynemouth;

· Alice Kilgour born about 1888 in Tynemouth;

· Florence Kilgour born Jul-Sep 1890 in Tynemouth;

· Herbert Kilgour born Jul-Sep 1892 in Tynemouth;

· Hilda Nora Kilgour born Oct-Dec 1894 in Tynemouth; and

· John Chapman Kilgour born Jan-Mar 1897 in Tynemouth.

Janet Kilgour nee Taylor died in Tynemouth on 16 June 1933 aged 76 years and is buried in Preston Cemetery

James died in Tynemouth on 2 June 1937 aged 82 years and is buried in Preston Cemetery.
