John Mould was born 6 November 1809 in Washington, Co. Durham, England and christened at Washington Holy Trinity on 26 November 1809, the first son of William Mould, native of Lamesley, by his wife Anne Porter, native of Gateshead (from the Bishop’s Transcripts of Holy Trinity, Washington). Updated!

 

John married Mary Corbett of Simonburn, Northumberland on 23 July 1833 in Sunderland.

 

John, a coal miner, and Mary were the parents of:

 

·        Elizabeth Mould born in Wagon Row at Usworth and christened 8 June 1834 at Washington Holy Trinity; Updated!

 

·        Joseph Mould born in Washington and christened 12 July 1835 at Washington Holy Trinity married Elizabeth Howe Anderson of Sunderland, in Jul-Sep 1859 in Sunderland. Updated!

 

Joseph, an engineer, and Elizabeth were the parents of:

 

·        Mary Jane Mould born about 1860 in Shildon, Co. Durham;

·        Adah Ann Mould born 1862 in Guisborough, Yorkshire;

·        Elizabeth C Mould born about 1864 in Guisborough;

·        John Mould born 1867 in Guisborough;

·        Isabella Jane Mould (twin) born abt 1870 in Guisborough;

·        Sarah P Mould (twin) born abt 1870 in Guisborough;

·        Joseph William Mould born 1872 in Guisborough; and

·        Marmaduke Matthew Mould born about 1874 in Wingate, Co. Durham;

 

·        William Mould born in Togston near Amble in the parish of Warkworth, Northumberland and christened 5 March 1842 at St Lawrence, Warkworth married Sarah Jane ? of Chester Le Street. Updated!

 

William, a farmer, and Sarah Jane do not appear to have had any children; and

 

·        Ann Mould born 22 July 1845 in Gateshead and christened on 6 May 1846 at St Mary’s, Gateshead.

 

 John died Jan-Mar 1883 in Broom, Co. Durham aged 73 years.
